JESUS IS COMING —ARE YOU READY?

Have you ever assumed something about someone and later found out that you assumed wrong? If so, then you assumed what you heard was correct. Then of course under that assumption of what you heard, you made a judgment of that person.

If you happen to walk by the person you made an assumption of, that assumption would resurface in your thinking because you believed what you heard.

If any interaction would take place with that person, your interaction with that person would be with that impression you have tucked in the back of your mind. That mindset you have would take over your thinking, even while the person you are interacting with was right there in front of you.

If you hadn’t taken the time to find out for yourself who this person was by getting to know him or her for yourself —you based your opinion of this person on hearsay. You registered in your mind that which you heard. With that criteria, you assumed a thing that might not be true.

The same thing happens when someone assumes Jesus is who they heard He was. Jesus is assumed to be who He is not. Hearing about Jesus and looking at His Word once in a while with the wrong mindset will keep them from seeing. They look but they can’t see.    They listen but they cannot hear —

—Matthew 13:13 This is the reason that I speak to them in parables: because having the power of seeing, they do not see; and having the power of hearing, they do not hear, nor do they grasp and understand. —AMPC

That is where the danger lies, in not knowing Jesus. If we don’t know Him for ourselves, if we don’t take the time needed to know Him we will be destroyed for a lack of knowledge —Hosea 4:6

You may think because you call Him Lord, He is your Lord, but Jesus did not say that. Jesus is not into religious practices, but He is a Someone and that One we need to know—

Jesus said not everyone who calls Him Lord will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. That reveals to us that some think He is their Lord —but that isn’t true, it has been assumed that He is.

Jesus said only those who do the will of His Father will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Obviously His will by many was assumed. His will was misunderstood.

He said many will say but Lord, I did this in Your name and that, as to argue with Jesus. Because now at that moment they know they are in trouble. Those arguing with Him, didn’t do His will but what they assumed His will to be. Jesus said He will say to those on that da—away from Me I never knew you.

Jesus will say to those who assumed but didn't take the time to know Him —away from Me I never knew you.

Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name? 23 And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands]. —AMPC

Take time to know Jesus now, before it is too late!  Make sure you know His will, don’t assume you do.
