BEING FIT FOR THE MASTER'S USE
2 Timothy 2:21 So whoever cleanses himself [from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences] will [then himself] be a vessel set apart and useful for honorable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work.
God is preparing to do a work on the earth through those who are committed to Him, through those who would cleanse themselves for the purpose of being fit for the Master's use. Those who would prepare themselves to be a vessel used for honor and noble purposes are those who would make it their fixation to separate themselves from sin - separate from all corrupting and contaminated influence.
God is calling those who would be committed to Him to be a vessel to manifest His power. Many are praying for revival yet not aware that they are the laborers God is looking for to consecrate themselves to be that vessel for His work to be done so that revival can happen.
Jesus said the harvest is ready but the workers are few.
Matthew 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness and infirmity. 36 When He saw the throngs, He was moved with pity and sympathy for them, because they were bewildered (harassed and distressed and dejected and helpless), like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust laborers into His harvest.
Jesus said to pray for laborers because the laborers are those who will do His work. Laborers are those who are willing to consecrate themselves for the very purpose of the Master's use.
Because we haven’t the revelation of who we are in Him we don’t give God’s power abiding in us a second thought. But that truth is exactly where our thoughts need to be, meditating on His promises, His truths, and consecrating ourselves for His use.
Jesus didn’t just send out the twelve, He sent out seventy, anyone who would believe to do His work - to bring in the harvest. God is calling us today to be His vessels, to know His heart, to know Him and consecrate ourselves for the purpose of His love, His power - to manifest through us. God is calling us to be an answer for Him to those who are sick, brokenhearted, lost, and looking for answers. God's heart aches for those who are in need of Him!
Just as Jesus said then, He is saying now; the harvest is plenty, there are many in need, many looking for answers, but there are not enough workers. Not many are willing to prove His will is good and perfect, not many are willing to walk the narrow path, and not many are willing to labor for the sake of another’s salvation.
God is calling His church to do His greater work. Will you go for Him? Will you care? Will you consecrate yourself for the Master's use?
