Doing Life God’s Way
MANY start out trusting God only to quit and give up because they don’t see results fast enough. People are looking for and put value in the fastest, most convenient answer, everyone is in a hurry; everyone is busy, doing what?
Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
What’s for sale? What is the fastest way to make money, get ten pounds off, the fastest pain relief, the fastest way to unclog your arteries, the fastest way to get rid of cancer, the fastest way to get rid of wrinkles, or to look younger again, the fastest way… are all gimmicks to get money and is what keeps the business going.
These temporary ways whether we realize or not, are ways in which we sow to the flesh and these ways that are apart from God will bring us to the ultimate destruction we all want to avoid! These ways in which we live are a trap from the enemy who is in fact out to kill, steal and destroy in our lives and he does that using our fleshly desires. He manipulates with our destruction in mind and is successful because we lack knowledge.
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.
Be assured I am not saying that the things we are seeking after are bad things. God certainly does not want us living with cancer, or heart disease, overweight, or even in lack. God wants us to be happy which is the very reason He says to sow to the Spirit! When we sow to the Spirit, doing things God’s way all we need will be given to us and besides what we need. More than what we need is God’s intention for us.
But because of a lack of knowing God’s way, the enemy has a field day with God’s people as he acts as their puppeteer, manipulating their lives with things. Getting us to chase after things is his strategy to keep us from God. The enemy knows the very answer we need, that what we are really striving for is within the perimeters of God’s Kingdom, and sowing to the Spirit is our answer. He knows seeking God’s way is our answer for everything thus his objective is to distract us as far from God as he can with whatever will work.
Jesus said it very clearly, He said that the gentiles, those without God, seek after things - they worry about what they are going to eat, drink and wear. Instead unlike the gentiles, we should live seeking God’s way of doing and being right and all we need will be added unto us and besides.
Matthew 6:31 Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear? 32 For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all. 33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things [taken together will be given you besides.
No it doesn’t happen over night; but when we seek God’s way of doing we are learning to live in His perfect plan. What we will learn, is living out His will for our lives will eliminate heart disease, obesity, lack, lust, wrong thinking, and all the other misleadings we live by which are slowing bringing us into destruction here and now and keeping us from eternity when we leave here.
