FEEL THE LOVE COUNT THE JOY
I think we often look at God as a dictator, maybe not intentionally, but because of a lack of focus we see Him differently than He really is. Because we are not focused, often times we are fooled by the enemy who gets us to think God has willed something in our lives that we didn't want to happen, something that doesn't even line up with the Word. We think this something, even though it is not supported by the Word of God may have has some kind of purpose in it for us so we accept it as from God when it is not from God.
Matthew 7: For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, if his son asks him for a loaf of bread, will hand him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will hand him a serpent? 11 If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give good and advantageous things to those who keep on asking Him!
Looking at the Word of God always clears up our misconception of who God is and His intentions for us. I love it especially when God initiates the clarity. What I mean by God initiating that clarity is when I am thinking wrong God is faithful to give me a Word to correct those wrong thoughts. I always feel His love for me and His encouragement when He does that and I appreciate His faithfulness to me.
Many times we say we are going through things and really the only reason we are going through is because we haven’t heard the Word confirmed to us, or if we have we have also heard the enemy who is trying to take the Word from us. The going through as we call it, is us deciding which report we will believe. Will we believe the promise or will we let the enemy cause confusion about the promise and steal that promise from us? That is the going through we all struggle with from time to time. It is a fight to grab on to the truth and not let go, which is why I love it when God confirms His Word to me personally.
Don’t look away but keep your focus on the Word, look to God to remind you of the Word, stay in faith and you won’t be going through. Count it all joy when the enemy comes against you because then you will come to the place where you won't lack anything (James 1:2-5)! You won't lack God, or His revelation, and you won't lack all the good He wills for you.
I love when God speaks to me and tells me He has good for me. I love when He tells me things to come; I love when He assures me that His promises are true.
Recently I have been worrying about something in my life. God reminded me that He was going to do more for me than I could ask or think and that everything in my life He will change for my good. He is not going to give me a stone when I have asked for bread, but He is going to give me more than I can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). God is not going to give me a mediocre anything, but the best, the biggest, the most wonderful in every circumstance! Why? Because He is in love with me!
God is so wonderful and I want to share with you what He did for me just today. The very thing Satan has been trying to convince me of, to get me to worry over, God turned around for me in a second with a glimpse of the future, His plan for me to come.
I was sitting at my desk, just closing my eyes to rest in the Word He gave me and suddenly He gave me another Word that changed my focus back to Him, reminding me of WHO He is and who I know, and how much HE loves me.
In that moment God showed me the best He is about to do for me - what He has willed for me - His good plan for me. I felt His love in that moment, the surety of His love and the revelation of the joy He is so adamant about me having everyday. His comfort is amazing and it is what He wants for you and me all the time. It is not His will that we have even one moment of discomfort, but to know that as we look to Him, we can enjoy each and every moment of our lives.
When we look to God, as we keep seeking and knocking we allow Him to flood us with His presence, to comfort and encourage us. Seeking God in every moment knowing we need Him will cause us to live free from the lie of the enemy and will keep us from going through (what we were already set free from). God is anxious to reveal Himself to us in a blink of an eye - in a moment of a revelation - in a glimpse - of His love for us.
Feel the love count the joy!
