Hopelessness is Faithlessness

God reminds me often that it is impossible to receive His blessings except by faith and that our faith is always, always, always, under attack.  Jesus warned us of this in Mark, He said if we didn’t understand this one principle that as soon as we hear the Word, the enemy is going to come and steal God from us.  Then He said if we didn’t understand this one principle we wouldn’t understand anything.

Mark 4:13 And He said to them, Do you not discern and understand this parable? How then is it possible for you to discern and understand all the parables? 14 The sower sows the Word. 15 The ones along the path are those who have the Word sown [in their hearts], but when they hear, Satan comes at once and [by force] takes away the message which is sown in them.

In order to have faith we need the Word - the Word of God is God and God is our faith.  The Word is revelation knowledge that gives us hope in God. When we get to know the Word we get to know God who helps us to be able to put our trust in that Word, in Him.  When we trust and put that trust into action,we begin to know God even more as God confirms His Word to us with the manifestation of HIs promises to us.

When we hear the Word, faith comes with revealed knowledge and shortly after, Satan comes to steal our faith, the revelation that God wants us to have to know how to live blessed in His Kingdom.

Jesus tells how Satan plans to steal that Word from us and the tactics that he uses to try and control us right after Jesus reveals to us that Satan will come.

Mark 4:16 And in the same way the ones sown upon stony ground are those who, when they hear the Word, at once receive and accept and welcome it with joy; 17 And they have no real root in themselves, and so they endure for a little while; then when trouble or persecution arises on account of the Word, they immediately are offended (become displeased, indignant, resentful) and they stumble and fall away. 18 And the ones sown among the thorns are others who hear the Word;19 Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless.

Satan will come in our thinking with thoughts of hopelessness to rob us of our faith in God’s promises.  One might hear the Word of healing for example, and start out believing God for their healing but then when Satan comes to try to steal that Word, maybe by a doctor's report or a worsened condition, that one may become offended and quit believing God.

It is possible though to press in and be the person who has root.  You can be the person who decides to be determined to know God and believe past being offended, believe past the cares of this world, false glamour, and past all the other distractions Satan brings your way to steal God from you.

When you reach out to God and ask Him to help you,you can win.  You can be the one in faith, the one to receive and accept the Word and bear fruit.

Mark 4:20 And those sown on the good (well-adapted) soil are the ones who hear the Word and receive and accept and welcome it and bear fruit—some thirty times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some [even] a hundred times as much.

Live in faith, forget hopelessness - there is no eternity in giving up!
