THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS LIKENED TO

Jesus came to teach us the goodness of God and how to live in that goodness, in the Kingdom of God - right here, while we live on the earth. His many parables are actually mysteries and the revelation knowledge we need of how to live in His Kingdom, here and now.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

The first step in living in the Kingdom is to be recreated into His likeness and then start on that path He has for us and that path that He has for us, leads us to the good life He prearranged beforehand for us to live. When God started me on the path He prepared beforehand to live the good life, it didn’t feel like the good life.

God asked me to quit my job which paid me every two weeks and to work for Him. That was a faith step and at the time stepping out on the water, didn’t seem like the right thing to do. It wasn’t the most convenient time to quit my job because, we just bought a house, just had a baby, and we had bills that were already piling up.

To avoid stepping out on the water I argued with God and told Him to please first allow me to get my bills paid and then I would quit my job. That’s when He told me that the Kingdom of God is likened to and some more revelation knowledge…

He said my job was keeping me in debt because it was not what He designed for me to do. His intentions were for me to do His work and as I obeyed Him, my debt would be taken care of by living by His principles (Ephesians 2:10).

I quit my job and started writing the book He asked me to write, by faith. I say by faith because I had a computer that didn’t like to type the letter "E" so I had to believe God for every "E" or a new computer. I was the worst ever in grammar, my money management skills were poor and the worst part; I was in debt, so to write a book about how to get out of debt seemed funny, not to mention impossible.

In the midst of all my issues, I started asking God for a new computer and He then lead me to another revelation of what the Kingdom of God is likened to.

Luke 6:38 Give, and [gifts] will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour into [the pouch formed by] the bosom [of your robe and used as a bag]. For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others], it will be measured back to you. AMPC

The Kingdom of God is likened to; give and it will be given to you, pressed down shaken together, and running over. He said His Kingdom does not operate by working to make a living, but, by giving and as we give our provision will be added to us. As this revelation went off on the inside of me, I became excited and started giving away everything He told me to give expecting that my giving would provide my needs.

It worked, soon enough I had my brand new computer and by faith started writing my book. In the midst of writing my book we also had a check that paid the debt I was believing to be paid and had money left over.

In writing my book I not only realized I loved writing, but that God was teaching me by living out His principles how to live free from debt. I love working for God, I love not having to work a job I don't care for just to get money. And I especially I love giving of myself, my gifts and talents, knowing that I am living my life with purpose. I am not living to meet my needs but the needs of others by giving what God has given me to give and by that faith action, my provision is at hand. My joy is complete as I give! I think it is an exciting and loving way to live. After all His Kingdom is likened to love!
