The Love Life

Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. 30 For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne. God so desires we are not stressed out and trying to do things on our own.  His way is easy if we look to Him and depend on Him but we tend to try and figure things out, and do things without Him causing us to live a less than life.  

In our everyday lives if we would learn of His way, life could be so much easier.  But because His way is so different than our way is seems harder so we turn away from Him missing that love, that sophisticated higher life He wants for us.

Most people are uncomfortable going to God and waiting in His presence, and trusting Him.  The reason though is because of not taking enough time to get to know Him.  Because of not paying enough attention to Him and to allow Him to show Himself and His abilities to us is seems to hard.

Alternatively if we would hang out with Jesus and learn His way we would realize it is the best way to live.  In His Kingdom it is a higher way to live than the way we live and God wants us to live there with Him.

When I walk my dogs I don’t walk in the parts of town that are low class.  Because, in those neighborhoods there isn’t a standard.  In those neighborhoods they may or may not put their dogs on a leash and I have little dogs so that is a big deal for me.  I have to look out for my dogs and besides I also want to meet up with kind and friendly people on my walk so I walk in sophisticated places where people have higher standards.

God is like that His way is to love with no compromise.  Not leashing your dog is not love, it isn’t kind and courteous.  Snubbing people isn’t love, leaving your dog messes isn’t love, and so it is not up to God’s standards to live without love.

God’s way is good and of high standards.  He doesn’t compromise —all He does is for the love of someone.

All that said we have to go to God and hang out with Him and make the changes needed to live the higher way, the sophisticated life He intends for us.  

If God ask you to do something and it seems too hard He will do it in you if you allow Him to.  Your part is to go to Him, lay down your will and say I cant do it, but You can and so I am asking You to carry this burden for me.  You do it in me because I just cant— and He will, He will empower you to live His way.

Today I would like to encourage you to go to Him and let Him do it for you and in you.  Depend on Him, admit you can’t do His will even without Him.  Cast your care upon Him because He cares for you!
