How Long Lord?

Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. 9 And He said, Go and tell this people, Hear and hear continually, but understand not; and see and see continually, but do not apprehend with your mind. 10 Make the heart of this people fat; and make their ears heavy and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their hearts and turn again and be healed. 11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And He answered, Until cities lie waste without inhabitant and houses without man, and the land is utterly desolate.  AMPC

Since God has asked me to go for Him I understand why Isaiah said, how long Lord?  And I understand why God said until the land is empty—until the end.

In doing only the little of what God has asked me to do for Him I can see how Jesus too became exasperated to the place where He said how long shall I put up with you?

It is because we don’t hear, we hear and hear, but we don't really hear.  We hear and say we have understanding but we don't.  If we heard then we would act like we heard.  If God tells us we are healed but we still act sick, we still talk sick, then we really didn't hear what He said.  If He tells us we’re not broke but we still talk like we’re broke and act like we’re broke, then we didn't hear.  If God tells us that faith comes by hearing the Word, but we fail to take the time to hear the Word then we really didn't hear Him.

It is not that we can’t but that we won’t.

Matthew 13:15 For this nation’s heart has grown gross (fat and dull), and their ears heavy and difficult of hearing, and their eyes they have tightly closed, lest they see and perceive with their eyes, and hear and comprehend the sense with their ears, and grasp and understand with their heart, and turn and I should heal them.

Just a few days ago I was explaining to someone that God wanted to heal him and what he should do to receive that healing.  As soon as he heard me give him directions to hear the Word of God, he zoned out.  He didn't want to hear what I had to say because he didn't want to do anything except receive a magic touch.

Another time upon sharing a healing testimony, someone asked me what church I went to.  As if they could go there and have a magic touch.

It wasn't the church that healed, it was faith.  If we have faith in a church we can’t have faith in the One who can heal.  Faith is doing the Word of God, hearing what God is saying and then doing it.  Having ears to hear what the Spirit is saying.  Doing what God said we had to do to have victory is what manifests God’s will in our lives.

The thing is though, people want a magic touch.  People are looking for a miracle where there isn't one.  They are looking for this magical touch even though they live in the kingdom of darkness.

If we live in the Kingdom of darkness, not doing the will of God, not living by His principles He can't overtake us in blessings.  He is not going to make our lives what they should be, we have to. We have to make the choice to change kingdoms.

Many miss that revelation, they want to stay living in the dark, but have that pure miracle touch while they stay in the dark. We can’t live in the dark and the light at the same time. We have to change kingdoms or we’ll live deceived. Thinking you are in the light but accepting the things of the enemy is living separated from God, deceived.

God is reaching out to us to say, if we will hear Him and do what He is saying we will live in truth and receive from Him. But if we won’t listen, if we keep our eyes closed, then we will stay where we are until the earth lay desolate.

Maybe you are thinking but what about when Jesus was here, He just touched those, and those were healed?  It was the same then, it was their faith that healed them.  Jesus said to the women with the issue of blood, your faith has made you well.  She went to the trouble of hearing the Word (Jesus) to get faith to think if she touched Him she could be made well.

Luke 8:48 And He said to her, Daughter, your faith (your confidence and trust in Me) has made you well! Go (enter) into peace (untroubled, undisturbed well-being). AMPC

I am sure she followed Jesus everywhere He went to have the faith to believe in her heart that if she just could touch the hem of His garment she would be healed.  And notice the hem of His garment was near the ground, so she had to have been crawling, not walking.  It wasn’t an easy journey for her, she worked to hear the Word of God to get the faith she needed to get healed (Romans 10:17).

Jesus asked who touched Him, He said power had gone out of Him.  It was her faith that got her that miracle not Jesus’ faith.

Jesus said to Jairus, “only believe” when a  man came to tell Jairus his daughter was dead.

Jesus said He couldn’t do much in His own hometown because of their unbelief!

Matthew 13: 58 And He did not do many works of power there, because of their unbelief (their lack of faith in the divine mission of Jesus). AMPC

He asked the blind men, do you believe I can do this? The blind men said they believed.

Matthew 9:29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in Me] be it done to you; AMPC

Those people all acted on the Word, they heard what Jesus was saying and the is why they were healed.  The heard the Word and they had faith as a result of hearing the Word.

Those who hear the Word but don’t do the Word, didn't really hear the Word.  They tell you they got it, but they didn’t and you can tell because they didn’t make changes according to the Word.

God is more than anxious to overtake us with blessing but if we won’t listen, if we shut our eyes, we can’t hear Him to receive His blessings.

This is what God said to me:

I have revelation knowledge for My people but they don't want to hear Me, they’re looking in the wrong place, their ears are dull, not wanting to hear the truth but what is easy and momentarily satisfying.
