PRAY THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN

Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom comes, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Did you know why Jesus said to pray Gods will be done on earth as it is in heaven?  I believe it is because we are to do His will on the earth, as it is in heaven. We who are His, are to live in heaven on the earth.  Just as Jesus did when He was here, He lived in heaven on the earth; like life is lived in heaven, right here on the earth.

He also said don't pray like the hypocrites as He described as for attention, thus really praying without intention.  But pray in private and asking I believe to fulfill the prayer that we can live like Jesus did, life in heaven right here on the earth!

Matthew 8:5 Also when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by people. Truly I tell you, they have their reward in full already.  6 But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who  is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open. GOD DOES NOT CONFORM TO US

Sometimes we try and get God to do things for us by begging Him. But, with the understanding of who God is and His ways, we can come to know that we don't have to beg at all.  We don't have to try and get Him to conform to us, but if we want His will, we need to conform to Him.

— 3 John 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers. AMPC

All we have to do to have His will happen in our lives is to prosper in our mind.  You can see from what we just read that it is already God's will for us to prosper (to have good success) and even that our body would keep well —and that would happen as we prosper in our minds.  How do we prosper in our minds? Conform to His mind—change our minds to think like He does.

—Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. AMPC

Prospering and being well then happens as we change our minds to agree with God.  He already said you were healed, so be healed by thinking you are healed. He already said He would meet all your needs, you can do all things, you can talk to mountains, so do what He said you could do!  If it seems you can’t —then you have to take captive that I can't thought, and make it an I can thought.  Prosper your thoughts with His thoughts and eliminate any thought that is not of Him.

—2 Corinthians 10:5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), AMPC

Knowing this truth now, you can you know you don't have to try and get God to do something. You don't have to try and get Him to conform to you, and your way without Him. But, what you do have to do is conform to His way by changing your thinking to be as His. It is your thinking you have to change, not His thinking.

Knowing God's will and how to live in His Kingdom is the key to you prospering in every way —and our body keeping well!

Conform to His will and think it—instead of the situation you are in. Change your mind—conform to Him, and you will change your life.

FAITH REVELATIONS —TRUST HIM

God wants to reveal Himself to us today. He wants us to know He is not holding out on us, but He so very much wants us to know Him.  He wants us to know His character—how He thinks, and even how He feels (1 Corinthians 2:16). But, that is impossible if we don't take the time it takes to know Him.

God wants us to know though that the thing that gets in the way of our knowing Him is us.  We get in the way of Him being our God because we take care of us. We worry so much that we forget about Him.  We are so self dependent we think outside of knowing Him, and just barely make it through this life thinking we got this.  Until something happens that pushes us over the edge.

Then we rush to God but haven't had taken the time to know Him, we are unsure He won't do what we need Him to do in our crisis.

That happened to me when my son was born.  I thought I knew God, but suddenly I wasn't sure He would do what He said He would do.  He actually pointed that out to me.

The antidote —is to know Him.  He said that to me, “You can't trust someone you know.”

So I did what He said and spent day and night knowing Him.  I read the Word, heard the Word, and worshiped Him. In fact I spent all of my time with Him because I wanted to know that I could trust Him.

Now I know Him maybe not fully, but I know Him, His character and how He feels.  I know Him and I have the revelation I need in the situations I encounter because I took the time needed know Him. I took the time to know Him initially when He confronted me.  Now I continue to seek to know Him daily.

Something I want to point out to you is that we grow to know Him— we have revelations of Him in stages, and those stages take time.  The basic stages I believe He wanted me to mention today are.

1— Realize you need Him, don't wait for a crisis.  You can't live on your own without Him. You Don't want to live by luck (chance), but in the blessing (Deuteronomy 28:1-14). and the way to do that is to take the time to know Him, by having a real relationship with Him.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me. AMPC

2—Get to the place where you actively keep the Word going in your heart.  The Word will enhance, empower and energize you —and your relationship with Him.  He is His Word (John 1:1) so as you know His Word you will know Him. Romans 10:17 tells us faith comes by hearing and so hearing will empower you with revelation, and revelation will explode on the inside of you to the place where won't be able to help but to believe. The revelation of God and who He is comes by hearing the Word-Him—He is His Word.

3—Make sure you do what you hear—agree with the Word.  So often we hear the Word but we don't do it. If we don't do it we really are not in agreement with God and not being in agreement with God keeps Him from being able to do in our lives.

Know that when you hear God it is a privilege and so do what He said to do and then, He will do, can do what He has promised.

James 1:22 But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. AMPC

Revelation 3:19 Those whom [I dearly and tenderly] love I tell their fault and convict and convince and reprove and chasten I discipline an instruct them. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your in and attitude]. AMPC

GO THE EXXTRA MILE —LOVE

God is talking to me about going the extra way, that way that puts others first, the way that is filling our call as true disciples of His.  A way that is not of ourselves but the need of others.

Luke 10 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go. 2 And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. AMPC

Jesus is saying to us today that we are so self-centered we haven't any idea the need around us.  We are so unfiltered from the world that we blend right in —caring too much of ourselves that we can’t see the need of others.  They need our compassion. The need to be known as valued. They need to know that Jesus cares, but He can't carefully for a people who does not know Him —except through us.  We are so busy caring about our needs we have no compassion for those who need us, those who Jesus wants to touch through us.

So often Jesus calls me out.  Go lay hand on that person, and immediately I start thinking of me and what someone might think of me. What if that person I am to lay hands on rejects me?  Why are we like that? Because we are too conditioned to the world believing and agreeing with the lie Satan tells us, they will reject you. What if we believed Jesus?  What if they are as needy as Jesus tells us they are.

Matthew 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness and infirmity. 36 When He saw the throngs, He was moved with pity and sympathy for them, because they were bewildered (harassed and distressed and dejected and helpless), like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. AMPC

They are, but we are believing the lie the devil tells us, they will reject you, nothing will happen if you lay hands on them—they won't believe you.  All those lies are meant to stop us and they do. The lies of the enemy that we should recognize, but we don't.

We need to come out from among them. God needs us to come out from among them—to go that exxtra mile.  Not to be comfortable with where we are but to get uncomfortable for a while, as we stretch to do that greater work Jesus is calling us to do. God is calling us to get uncomfortable while He perfects us so that we are not timid and controlled by the enemy but we know our place.

Can you imagine being like Jesus and being able to see Satan coming?  God has helped me to recognize his ploys. I was getting tricked so often that I prayed that God would show me when I was being plotted against.  Now I can see him coming —and recognize his scams in the lives of others.

We have to stop blending into the world. We have to learn of our enemy so that we can stop him from taking over.  We are just like Adam and Eve of we don't. God gave them rule over the earth and they let Satan talk them out of their ownership of authority given to them by God. Instead they fell for a piece of fruit.

Jesus came and got it back and now He has given it to us.  What do we do with our authority? The same —we keep give it back to Satan just as Adam and Eve did.  We are so ignorant of him that we let him take over our lives —as they did. We listen to his suggestions as if he is our god —as they did. We go along with whatever comes our way believing that God ordained it —when He did not.  Because we don't know our enemy, because we don't have daily, hourly, constant conversations with God we are ignorant of the wiles of the enemy!

So today God is saying, seek Me out, let me show you and send you out.  You are praying for revival yet —you are not letting Me do My will in our life.  How can you have revival when the enemy is your boss? When you are being tricked by him and you don't even know it?

It's the same plan, but hopefully not the same outcome.  Jesus is saying will you go for Me? Will you go that extra mile if even if you are rejected, spit at, mocked, and more?

Luke 10:19 Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you. AMPC

EXAMINE YOURSELF

Matthew 7  Do not judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves. 2 For just as you judge and criticize and condemn others, you will be judged and criticized and condemned, and in accordance with the measure you [use to] deal out to others, it will be dealt out again to you. 3 Why do you stare from without at the very small particle that is in your brother’s eye but do not become aware of and consider the beam of timber that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, Let me get the tiny particle out of your eye, when there is the beam of timber in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first get the beam of timber out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the tiny particle out of your brother’s eye. AMPC

God wants to talk to us today about judging ourselves, lest we be judged by Him.  Instead of using our energy to look around us and criticize others we are to look at ourselves and compare our conduct to the Word of God.

We are instructed to check our fruit and if we have none —do some revamping. Change things up because we will be judged according to our nature, not according to what we have decided on our own, but according to the Word.

You see, when we judge others we are for one —avoiding our own fault, and putting that energy into dissecting the faults of others. Looking at the spec in their eye —still never seeing the log in our own eye is energy used unwisely —and even wasteful.  Wasteful and unwise because that energy is energy that could be used to better ourselves —being fit for the Kingdom of God.

That said, in criticizing others we compare ourselves to them, instead of comparing ourselves to Jesus.  When our comparison is with man we will fail to become like Jesus, because we are comparing ourselves to those whom we criticized.

Our calling is to be like Jesus.

2 Corinthians 13: 5 Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected? AMPC

When our life is so wrapped up in the affairs of others we miss the whole point of being a Christian.  Being like Christ should be our goal and will be impossible if we are focused on a man. Having fruit should be what we are examining ourselves for.

Even though —when we are more focused on the faults of others, when things don't turn for us, we lean toward blaming God.  But if, if, we had been doing the very thing God requires, (examining ourselves) our time would have been well spent instead of unprofitable. Working toward our character to be like Him takes time— and produces much fruit.  And, fruit produces successful living —in the Kingdom of God.

2 Peter 1:10 Because of this, brethren, be all the more solicitous and eager to make sure (to ratify, to strengthen, to make steadfast) your calling and election; for if you do this, you will never stumble or fall.11 Thus there will be richly and abundantly provided for you entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ANGLED FAITH

God wants to talk to us today of all the angels there are to our faith -so we can have understanding to our wait or even unanswered prayers.  It is not that God is asking is to wait for His timing but to wait/seek Him for His direction/correction.

The Word tells us that faith is now (Hebrews 11:1), thus if we would cooperate with the now, we wouldn't be waiting so long.

God's perspective is what we need —but we tend to lean on ours which isn’t useful in trusting Him. He sees the problem as to why that thing is not accomplished yet and so we have to be trusting Him to get us to that faith level where we can receive. That is what takes so long —us not cooperating with Him and His plan.

The bottom line is that most think they are in faith and God has missed it.  But, God didn't miss it (He is perfect) — but the fact is, is that He can't move without our faith.

It is impossible to please Him without faith (Hebrews 11:6) because He can't do for you without your faith being in Him.

God sees where our lack of faith lies, and if we let Him He will show us where we need that adjustment.

It may be that you are trusting in something other than Him.  You may not see it but if we are listening and waiting for guidance, He will show you that thing in which you are relying on instead of relying on Him. It may be that you have a back up plan in case He doesn't do that thing in which you want Him to do. Maybe you are discouraged and that is not faith either.  Whatever it is —He sees it and you most likely won't without Him showing it to you. Whatever it is —it will make you question Him, and that alone proves that your faith is lacking. No rest equals —no faith. Worry is not faith and if we are worrying we are not resting and assured that He will do what He said He will do (Hebrews 4:11).

God was showing me we have to get to the place Paul learned of.  He said he learned contentment.

Philippians 4:11 Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am. 12 I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want. 13 I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]. AMPC

It seems like Paul was talking of his needs but God is using this place where Paul was to say to us today, just be content in knowing that you can trust Me, and I will work out all those angels of faith for you as you seek Me.

If your faith isn't working let Him do a check for you. Then when you find out where you are lacking faith, let Him help you to get to the place where you are fully relying on —and trusting in Him. In that, to learn to fully rely on Him, is a place of getting to know Him, and that is a good and profitable thing —to know Him. To know Him is to trust Him.

FILL IT -IMAGINE IT -OCCUPY

Jesus, as recorded in Luke 11 was accused of being the devil casting out the devil. His response to those accusers comes with so much revelation, lets look.

Luke 11:17-But He, [well] aware of their intent and purpose, said to them, Every kingdom split up against itself is doomed and brought to desolation, and so house falls upon house. [The disunited household will collapse.] 18 And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom last? For you say that I expel demons with the help of and by Beelzebub. 19 Now if I expel demons with the help of and by Beelzebub, with whose help and by whom do your sons drive them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.20 But if I drive out the demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has [already] come upon you. 21 When the strong man, fully armed, [ from his courtyard] guards his own dwelling, his belongings are undisturbed [his property is at peace and is secure].22 But when one stronger than he attacks him and conquers him, he robs him of his whole armor on which he had relied and divides up and distributes all his goods as plunder (spoil).23 When the strong man, fully armed, [from his courtyard] guards his own dwelling, his belongings are undisturbed [his property is at peace and is secure]. 22 But when one stronger than he attacks him and conquers him, he robs him of his whole armor on which he had relied and divides up and distributes all his goods as plunder (spoil). 23 He who is not with Me [siding and believing with Me] is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me [engage in My interest], scatters.24 When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it roams through waterless places in search [of a place] of rest (release, refreshment, ease); and finding none it says, I will go back to my house from which I came.25 And when it arrives, it finds [the place] swept and put in order and furnished and decorated.26 And it goes and brings other spirits, seven [of them], more evil than itself, and they enter in, settle down, and dwell there; and the last state of that person is worse than the first. AMPC

Jesus is saying so much here. First He addresses the the people, shall I bluntly say? —of their stupid speculations.  Then —He goes on to further our knowledge of what is overtaking them and how we can keep from having the same (I will say it again) stupidity.

So let's start with, what is an unclean spirit and how does he occupy our temple? An unclean spirit is the devil or his workers —he  occupies when we let his suggestions rule us. He has a place to stay when we let him dwell in our minds.

Corinthians confirms what Jesus said, we are instructed to take captive every thought and make it to be like Jesus, to agree with Him, the Word (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

Acts 10:38 —Jesus went around doing good curing all who were harassed and oppressed by the devil. Clearly we are taught here that the enemy is a thought. The Word says the enemy is harassing and oppressing. How else can he harass and oppress except in our thinking?  Therefore Jesus is curing those/us with revelation knowledge (Acts 10:38).

Just like  Jesus was doing that day when the people were accusing Him of being the devil, He is doing the same now. Just as He is doing now, as He reveals truth to us. He cures with revelation, by revealing to us what is happening—what is truth.

Jesus responded to their accusation first by saying, a house divided will fall.  One has to be of the devil or not, both don't agree. Jesus is not for Satan and Satan is not for Jesus.  Therefore we have to choose —that is what He went on to say. He said either you are for Me or against Me. Thus if we choose Jesus we must be on guard, be the strong man— prepared for the enemy who wants to break in and occupy our temple.   If we are in the dark as those people that day were, then we are going to be overtaken by the strong man. If Satan knows more than we do we will be overtaken by him, when we don't have Jesus, the devil is stronger than we are.

But if we are full of revelation knowledge, full of the wisdom of Jesus, full of Jesus—we will be on guard waiting and watching like Peter said.  Peter said, be sober and vigilant that the enemy is roaming about like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (! Peter 5:8).  If we are ignorant of his wiles he can devour us, if we are not, if we are prepared, he has no place in our lives.  We won't allow him to live in our minds if we know the truth.

Those who had the unclean spirits were ignorant of the enemy.  Jesus came to show us the truth and gave us power and authority over the enemy so we could tie him up.  Jesus said whatever you bind on their earth is bound in heaven, whatever you loose is loosed (Matthew 18:18).  But if we don't know that we will live harassed by the devil, instead of in control of him.

With no revelation knowledge we will live as the people without God live —in ignorance of the truth.  In ignorance of the truth, letting Satan control us by letting him occupy our thinking.

When you are born again and filled with the Spirit then you will be giving permission to Jesus to occupy your being.  But if you don't fill up on the things of God; if you don't let the things of God occupy your thinking, if you don't apply His kingdom ways and let Him change your life —then you will be overtaken by the enemy.  If you let the enemy occupy your mind you have let him take over your life.

Jesus said if you clean your house of him, but you leave your (mind) house vacant, if you don't stay filled of the Spirit of God, full of the Word, then he will return and overtake you.  Then your condition will be worse than before.

But —if we are prepared as we should be, if we are that strongman —on Jesus’ side and prepared, fully suited in our armor, Jesus in us, then the devil won't be able to move us.

Don't be divided, choose Jesus and then occupy your space in the Kingdom of God.

TEETER TOTTER

I was standing by my kitchen sink doing dishes —thinking about how long this season had been.  This thing I had been believing for —something very important to me, has taken quite some time.

Suddenly I had a vision —I was standing in the middle of a teeter totter. God said that was me standing in the middle of this teeter totter.  —I was standing with one foot to the right and one to the left.  The right foot I could see was the way to keep believing and the left was quit and give up, get depressed, and just forget it, at least for that day.

I was thinking that and He knew it.  I hadn't done that in forever, but He knew I was considering it—just quitting for a day.

When I first started believing that is exactly what I thought, and what I did, just for the night I would be offended and quit.  I am not a quitter and so I wasn't about to quit —but wanted a break from the pressure of believing!

I realized then He just answered a question I had been pondering, hadn't asked, just pondered.

When I first started to learn faith, I would get discouraged at how long things were taking and I would quit and give up, just for the night. Just like I just described, just for the night.  Now He just showed me that was why things took so long back then, because I kept giving up. I kept taking a break, at least once a month.

All those thoughts came quickly and caused me to understand that I had to go right on the teeter totter. I had to stay the same because staying the same would bring my answer quickly. To choose to go back and forth would be believing and then not believing. Then my miracle would be delayed.

I Know a double minded man will not receive anything from the Lord, and so if I go back and forth, I am double minded.

James 1:6 Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind.7 For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything [he asks for] from the Lord,8 [For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides]. AMPC

God was encouraging me to stay right, to remain the same so that this thing could happen and that I could continue to role model faith.  He was also giving me this message to encourage someone else in my life as well as myself.

Today He wanted me to share this with you.  He wants to say to you, don't go back and forth because if you do you are making that thing you are believing for take forever. Plus if you keep feeding that doubt, it will tire you to the place of forever giving up.

On the other hand if you tooter to the right and stay there, if you stay the same and believe no matter what you see —that is faith.  Faith pleases God (Hebrews 11:6) because faith allows Him to do in your life those things that are good, those things you are believing for. If you go left and quit for a day, that is not being the same.  That is not being constant and of course constant is abiding (John 15:1-8).

Let this encourage you in knowing that giving up even if for the day or the night will set you back in time —and gives Satan a foothold.  Giving him even a little time is enough time for him to plant some doubt seeds in your thinking to grow and then he will use them for a next time. If there are no seeds —there is no next time.

In all Jesus is saying how important it is to stay the same.  To stay connected to the vine, not giving the enemy a foothold into your thought life.

Keep the same, don't change, don't be wishy washy just because of what you can see, or what you don't see—just believe! Stay on the vine, stay the same, don't change your mind.  Then —you will grow some fruit and in that you will have that thing, you will have that success you need, you have been looking for.

John 15 I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.2 Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit.3 You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you].4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.6 If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned.7 If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.8 When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine. Forgive Them

Having an understanding of the ways of God makes it much easier to live His way, in His Kingdom.  Like forgiveness —t is not always so easy to forgive because when we get hurt, it hurts. What someone did to us hurts, which is why we hold a grudge. The grudge is like having a bandaid to protect ourselves from that hurt again.

But, in the kingdom of God there are no bandaids to be had.  God's way is to love, thus we have to resolve to love.

God showed me this just a few days ago.  That what Jesus said was exactly what He meant and why we as His, should forgive just as fast as He did that day.

Luke 23:34 And Jesus prayed, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And they divided His garments and distributed them by casting lots for them. AMPC

If someone is not God’s they really don't know what they are doing, and they don't know they are being used by the enemy.  That person without God does know what they are doing so if confronted, you will even hear them reply, I didn't do anything.

God was showing me in this kind of situation, that we can know ahead of time not to confront, but to love instead.  Love as in let it go, let it drop, because they don't know Jesus thus they just don't get it.

If we confront a person who does not know Jesus, that person won’t get the love thing we have with Jesus.  Thus we are to just forgive, drop it, and let it go as the amplified Bible describes (Mark 11:25-26). The only return we owe them is —to love them (Romans 13:8).

Before a few days ago I just forgave because God tells us to forgive.  Each time I was hurt and decided to forgive —God healed me. As well, with that healing He gave me insight as to why the person did what they did —which helped me to have compassion for them as well as forgive.

It is the most painful when the person who hurts you is someone you love and have trusted all your life — then suddenly has betrayed you.  It is a hard thing to do on our own. We need God to be healed of that pain and then to forgive. In that, He has always been there for me to heal me and help me to go on.

Recently in being hurt again by someone close to me, God showed me that because of their not knowing Him the situation doesn't need confronting words —but love.  What He said to me was that I didn't need to confront the person, just love the person. He said in fact that person should never even know that you were hurt by you showing bitterness toward them—but that I should come up to His level of forgiveness and just know they don’t get it.

Corinthians tells us that our warfare is not against flesh and blood but that spiritual darkness (2 Corinthians 10:3-4).  The person is not the one trying to hurt you—the enemy is. It is his ploy to bring evil upon you, to try to get you in un-forgiveness so that you are in disagreement with God. God's law is love and so being  in un- —is disagreement with God

The person hurting you maybe doesn't know that they have hurt you, and that they are being used by the enemy.  As a Christian —unlike a non-believer, we should be aware of the enemies ploys and be sure we are sensitive to other's feelings being sure —not to offend.

I liked what I heard God say to me because with that comes not only healing, but the fact that God thinks that much of me to correct me and expect—that I can be like Him.

What I mean is if I am told to forgive others because they don't know what they are doing, then I am at the place of spiritual maturity where God is showing me more than I could see before.  Understanding that my warfare is not with that person I love —but that the enemy has butted in to my business to mess up my relationships is a revelation I need.

I was thinking if we had this revelation in our marriage relationships, our warfare would not be against each other.  If we would grow up spiritually we wouldn't be arguing back and forth, but we would be loving each other. In our revelation knowledge of knowing the enemies ploy, thus in our love actions, we would be taking authority over the enemy if we loved with purpose.     In that —showing the world that God's way of love indeed does not fail (1 Corinthians 13:8).

Knowing what the enemy is up to, that revelation knowledge —is the defense we need to overcome his wiles.

So, remember the next time you are hurt, it is not the person, it is the enemy using the person to get to you.  He is trying to not only mess up your relationships, but he is trying to keep you in un-forgiveness. If we don't forgive, God does not forgive us (Mark 11:26).

Hearing Him Makes All the Difference

When we haven't heard God our imagination runs wild.  Like if you are believing God for something and you still haven’t seen it, you start to imagine things like He doesn't care, He didn't hear me, and the like.

The truth though —is God is waiting until you have exhausted your own works.  Then, you certainly can hear Him in your desperation.

I was doing this recently. I was working to make something happen. I hadn't heard God say much about it, and because I didn't hear what I thought He should have said, I started feeling frustrated. I wanted Him to help me, but I wanted as well  control this thing that I was trying to do.

In feeling frustrated I heard God tell me to let it go— I wanted to, but I had a hard time letting go. I had been doing this thing for a while, and besides it was an instruction from Him, and now He was telling me to cast my care of it.  He was telling me to trust Him now and just let Him work it out. So I let it go that evening and went to bed, I casted my care on Him, because He cares for me.

The next morning was quite (He was quiet) as I started to tussle with this thing again. When I realized what I was doing I returned to my instruction from Him and let it go. That's when I heard Him tell me something that made total sense, He amazed me with seven words.

He then started showing me that what I was trying to do was stay in a season — a season He was taking me out of.  I am about to enter a new season, thus I have to change what I am doing to fit into that season. It is actually a promotion, a change to be promoted into a higher place in my calling.

You can’t ever guess what God is going to say to you, but when you hear Him, it is always an ahh moment!

Although it is tempting to feel forgotten and even frustrated when you can't figure things out, don't.  Press in to believe instead, and He will reveal Himself to you.

Let me encourage you today by sharing with you my experience, and that this —I have learned that God is indeed good.  I have experience with Him to know that He is in love with me. Thus I know that He is faithful —and He has good in mind for me. I know that if I continue to trust Him no matter how things look—He will show up!

That said, I know that all I have to do is stay the same, keep trusting Him no matter how things seem. Then, suddenly, He will show up!  He will say something —and then I can get what He is doing. Then I can see what He had been trying to show me, I will get that thing in which He is doing!  You just can't figure out the good God is about to do until He shows it to you!

Until I can get what He is saying to me, He is waiting.  I am not waiting for Him—but He waits for me.

Isaiah 55:8  For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. 9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. AMPC

Let Him bring you up higher to His way!

PICK UP YOUR MAT AND WALK

You know the story, the man who waited to get into the pool called Bethesda.  He had been invalid for thirty-eight years waiting to get into the pool. Jesus noticed him and asked him if he wanted to be healed.

John 5:6 When Jesus noticed him lying there [helpless], knowing that he had already been a long time in that condition, He said to him, Do you want to become well? [Are you really in earnest about getting well?] 7 When the invalid answered, Sir, I have nobody when the water is moving to put me into the pool; but while I am trying to come [into it] myself, somebody else steps down ahead of me. 8 Jesus said to him, Get up! Pick up your bed (sleeping pad) and walk! 9 Instantly the man became well and recovered his strength and picked up his bed and walked.  AMPC

God wants to talk to us today about just doing it, just picking up our mat and walking, as in doing that thing we know to do. Just as Jesus was encouraging that man, He is encouraging us today by saying just do it

Just do that thing you know to do and stop whining about why you can't.  Then that thing will happen.

Sometimes Jesus does get a little sarcastic with us, just like when Jesus said how long shall I put up with you to the disciples. Today He is saying to us today stop complaining about your circumstances and just do what you know to do.  When you do that thing in which you are complaining about instead of complaining —then you will see that thing in which you are wanting. That thing you are begging Jesus for is going to happen not because you are begging, but as you do His will.

Think about it, you have the knowing of what to do, still are you complaining about the circumstances you are in? Knowing what to do is living in His Kingdom and living in His Kingdom His way —is where your blessings are available.

We know we have to forgive, yet we hold grudges (Matthew 18:22).  We know we have to get faith by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17), yet we think we don't have time.  We know we are to call those things that be not as though they were (Mark 11:22-24), still we wallow in our circumstances.  We know what to do, yet we are not doing that thing in which we know what to do which is why we are still in that same situation/condition we were in for let's say —the last thirty eight years.

God wants us to know today, that as we wonder why things aren't happening, it is because we are not doing what we know to do.  If we did what He said to do, then that thing we are believing would be happening.

So as Niki says—God is saying today, just do it!  Just do that thing in which you know to do —so I can do My part.

But don't say you can't do that thing in which I said you can.  For you have My strength, My grace is sufficient for you to do what I have instructed you to do( 2 Corinthians 12:9).  No you can't do it on your own, but Him in you, you can do all things (Philippians 4:13)!

DO LIFE GODS WAY—FOR IT TURN OUT

Just the same as you follow a recipe for your cake to turn out, you have to follow the directions God gives for your life to turn out.

So many think faith is walking in the dark, that God is a mystery and we can only hope and pray for things to go well in our lives. But actually that thinking is farthest from the truth.

Faith is walking in the Light. Having faith in God is knowing Him.  Knowing who He is and what He is about and how to live in His Kingdom. He is the knowledge we need—He is our Source.

God is more than willing to reveal the knowledge we need to live in His Kingdom where our lives will turn out.

The place to go for that knowledge is His Word. He is His Word (John 1:1), and in His Word are those instructions we need for our lives to turn out for good. In His Word is not only His character revealed, so we can know Him, but where He shares His knowledge.  God, in His Word shares with us who He is, what He thinks, and how to live in His Kingdom. In His Kingdom, living His way of doing life—is how your life can turn out for good. You will not only know Him, how He thinks—but, you will gain His knowledge, the knowledge needed to live that good life He promised.

Deuteronomy 28 tells us how blessed we would be if we obeyed God. If we would live His way we wouldn't even have a problem!  He said if we would take heed, pay attention to the Word He gives us, we would live blessed in every area of our lives.

Note —if we were not to know and understand or hear God (if He were to remain a mystery) then how could we take heed?  Thus we do have a part in that good life and it is simple —just obey Him. Just humble yourself before Him and submit to His rule (love) in your life.

If we take heed, seek to hear and understand, look for instruction, and do —we will live blessed at every avenue.

If we are not living blessed we are living cursed and that curse comes from disobedience.  That curse is from not taking heed to His Word (VOICE). Deuteronomy 28:1

If you will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God. AMPCRead all of Deuteronomy 28 and see that the Lord is good!

—Think On These Things—

We get discouraged so easily and do you know why?  We don’t do what the Bible tells us to do.  Instead of -thinking- on the promises God gives us and having faith in Him, we -think on- and meditate on -what is- and /or what we are afraid of that -might happen-.

We do the complete opposite of what we have been instructed to do.  By not doing the instructions we have been given and change -what is- to -what can be- we stay focused on -what is- and by doing so we and keep that -which is- in tact.

Instead though we can make a change and take authority over our thoughts and put those promises from God in our minds then, declaring them to come to pass.

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

God said to change our circumstances (Mark 11:22-25), by saying and believing. Believe what He said and say what He said and prove for yourself just by changing your mind His will is good and perfect=]

He said bring all your worries to Me, and we'll talk, then meditate -think on- what I said, practice what I have taught you (Philippians 4:6-9).  Practice —talk about what I said, say what you want and then —they, those things you say will happen.

Just the same as you follow a recipe for your cake to turn out you have to follow the directions God gives for you life to turn out.

It’s Not Too Hard

Have you ever thought something that God told you to do was too hard? Next thing you know you’re thinking it’s too hard and so you subconsciously give up? You should know that thought is a trick and is a thought coming from the enemy to get you to disobey God. How do I know? Jesus said we can do all things through Him, that He would strengthen us.

Philippians 4:19 I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]. AMPC

Jesus said the enemy is a liar, there is no truth in him and so we can know he is not going to be in agreement with Jesus, but opposed to Jesus.

John 8:44 You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts and gratify the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false. 45 But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me [do not trust Me, do not rely on Me, or adhere to Me]. AMPC

You have to know the enemy is tricking you so don't believe his lie. He wants you to disobey God —and in order to get you to that place he has to talk you into a lie.  Since Jesus said there is no truth in him —he speaks falsehood and Jesus speaks the truth, we can know the devil speaks opposed to the truth. Therefore when he interjects the thought in your mind that you can’t it is too hard, you can know that is a lie and one that he is trying to control you with.

How does he interject thoughts?  Through your thinking.

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, 5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),6 Being in readiness to punish every [insubordinate for his] disobedience, when your own submission and obedience [as a church] are fully secured and complete. AMPC

The enemy messes with our thinking which is why we are instructed here to take captive every thought and make it a Jesus thought.

Now that you know the truth you can think the truth.  Yes you can, you can do all things, and all those things Jesus told you to do, Him in you, His power in you — you can do anything!

Anything is possible for him who believes (Mark 9:23).

JESUS -SECOND HAND?

The other day I heard a woman on the radio give her testimony of the radio station based on what the Christian station did for her.  She said on her way to work was her only “God time” and so she so appreciated the station because she could get her “God time” in quick before work.

I was thinking wow! I couldn't survive on that, I need a whole lot more of God than that, and especially if I was going to work out in the world.

It made me think of an article I read that morning.  It intrigued me because of the man's descriptive phrase for what I always call hearsay.  Meaning -having someone else get to know Jesus for you. Or you could say -living off of what someone else thinks/ living off of someone else's faith. The man in the article I was reading called this practice -second hand faith.

I hadn't thought much of his phrase until inspired by Jesus to write this today.  I started thinking about that woman again and how she got her quick fix of Jesus on the way to work.  I was thinking how lost she was, yes is was a good start, but so far from what Jesus wants. He does not want to be squeezed into our day, but He wants to be the core of our day.

Thinking more about this phrase I knew Jesus was telling me that this mans phrase was a perfect description of how a lot of people treat Him (Jesus). He is just not that important to them.  They don't want to take the time to have their own relationship with Jesus, so they just live by what someone else said.

The woman on the radio is living on -second hand faith.  She didn't take time to get her own faith, but she was going to spend her day and maybe every day, on someone else's faith.  I mean that’s great that she at least is seeking God, but that is scarce, and not at all a personal relationship with Jesus- which is the basis of our salvation.

This is where Jesus showed me it is like going to a thrift store and getting something used. Hey I wore this a hundred times or more, it’s kind of worn out, but now you can have it.  Why do you want someone else's revelation? Revealed knowledge that worked for them personally, that was given to them for their situation, why do you want it. What about going to your Source and getting your own?

Jesus said that is why so many Christians go to church and sit in the pew and are not be moved by the Spirit of God when He shows up. They are not looking to God, but they are looking to the man at the pulpit.  That is-second hand faith.

God is in the church but they can’t see Him or feel Him because they are not in communion with Him, but with the person who is giving them their used faith. Yes they are moved and inspired but by a man, and yes God is moving through the man, but then what happens when they leave church?  The man does not go home with them.

That is why the world is in the condition they are in, they are going to the thrift store instead of getting on their knees and getting first hand faith, their revelation first hand.

A personal relationship is just that -personal.  Jesus said My sheep know My voice and they won’t follow the voice of a stranger.

John 10:27 The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me. AMPC

Yes is it good to get a good message on the radio, at church, on television, from a devotion, but the original message must be from Jesus Himself.  Then those other messages will just make what Jesus said to you that much more meaningful. Many people are not convinced Jesus would talk to them and so they live in this lala kind of thinking.  Like; “Wow that is weird I think Jesus might have said something to me.” Of course He did, that is the plan to hear Him and follow Him, not a man.

John 10:27 The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me.28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. [To all eternity they shall never by any means be destroyed.] And no one is able to snatch them out of My hand. AMPC

If you never have asked Jesus to come and live on the inside of you, do so.  He said He is waiting, knocking, at the door of your heart wanting to be invited in.  All you have to do is invite Him and He will move in (Revelation 3:20). Then it is up to you to cultivate that relationship with Him. He will be your Shepherd, all you have to do is follow Him. That will take time.  He is a Person and a relationship with a person takes time and attention. Thus, get up a couple hours early in the morning and be with Him. Read your Bible because He is His Word (John 1:1) and that is how you get to know Him.

Let Him know you are committed to Him and your life will never be the same, and you will never have to live on hearsay again.  You may eventually not even have to rush to that job every morning? Seek Him and you will Find Him (Mathew 7:7)!

IF YOU CAN SEE YOU CAN WALK

If you have ever tried to walk in the dark -you know it is not a fun thing, and as soon as you can you are going to look for some light.

Alike, when you get a new computer it is like stumbling around in the dark, not knowing how to do things, as you did before. You were familiar with your old computer but the new is somewhat frustrating until you get the idea -the hang of it.  Until you get some wisdom and experience under your belt, you will stumble about.

Well the same is true in the Kingdom of God, until you are permeated with the Word of God to the place where you have gained revelation knowledge -you will stumble.

You will more than likely say things like -this doesn't work for me -I don't know what I am doing.  But. if you gave the Word the same priority as you gave in finding that flashlight, if you were as relentless as you were to get to know that new computer- you would find your way in the Kingdom of God quickly.

In fact if you were to be insistent about getting the Word, you would find your way much quicker to God than any other thing you have want of.  Because when you are filled with the Spirit of God, you are filled with His power, His revelation knowledge -to know more that you can on your own.

Jesus said the Spirit would tell you things to come be your counselor, stand by, your intercessor, anything you need.  That means you never will need a flashlight and your computer will be a breeze to learn because He is in you giving you the skill to know your computer much easier than you could know it by yourself.

He is the most marvelous light ever.  A light much more radiant than a flashlight and much more fulfilling than a new computer. But, unless you get the wisdom you need, and follow your spirit -the Spirit of God, and let Him lead you will want to quit.

Therefore if you want to live in the Kingdom of God and have it be second nature to you, if you want to live your life to the fullest -go after God and be insistent on getting to know Him.  He is His Word (John1:1) so as you get to know the Word you will get to know Him.

In conclusion then, to live in the Kingdom of God takes time. Time to learn that new way of life and if you spend the time, you won't get frustrated in your walk, because you will be walking in the light.  You will have heads up on things and you will enjoy your new life a whole lot more than you enjoy that new computer!

Proverbs 4:7 The beginning of Wisdom is: get Wisdom (skillful and godly Wisdom)! [For skillful and godly Wisdom is the principal thing.] And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation). Ampc

SURRENDER -YOUR SPIRIT MAN NEEDS FOOD

God is talking to me today about surrendering to Him. He continues to remind me that we have this thing of pride and it makes us self-willed. Being self -willed keeps us in sin and from God's best. Being self-willed is thinking we don't need God.

Romans 6:17 But thank God, though you were once slaves of sin, you have become obedient with all your heart to the standard of teaching in which you were instructed and to which you were committed. 18 And having been set free from sin, you have become the servants of righteousness (of conformity to the divine will in thought, purpose, and action). AMPC

If we have surrendered to Jesus we have been set free from sin, but if we go back to being self-willed we will return to our sinful nature. To say Yes Lord —is easy to say, but as we enter into temptation, as the enemy puts on his gloves to take us from God, then is the real test.

Are we strong enough to resist? Not without Jesus. The enemy uses our flesh to tempt us. Are you going to give into your flesh, or are you going to stay surrendered when that temptation comes?

I can tell you what you are going to do. Without Jesus you will give into the temptations the enemy brings your way. With Jesus you will not give into the temptations and then the enemy will flee from you.

James 4:7 So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.

We can't do anything without Jesus, therefore without staying on the Vine we will be unsuccessful in resisting the enemy. Jesus said we can't do anything without Him. Therefore as we enter into temptation to keep from giving in to our flesh—we need to give into Jesus and become obedient with all of our heart.

How?

First things first —Get up everyday and spend at least—a minimum of an hour with Jesus. Then increase that time daily so you can become stronger in Him. Get a devotion coming into your email to start with. Get on your knees and worship Him, hear Him. Get your Bible out and read the things in it to feed your spirit. Your spirit man needs to eat to stay alive! If you don’t feed him he will die. If he dies you die. If you let him starve you will starve. If you starve your spirit you will give into your flesh. If you give into your flesh you have switched forces.

When you get up everyday and put God first you will have honored God and you will thrive on the Vine. On the Vine you are being pruned to produce good stuff in your life. Stuff like happiness, peace, joy and contentment. Healing, provision and so much more are produced on that Vine. Jumping off the Vine is like jumping into the fiery furnace. If you are dead you are collected like a dead branch and thrown into the furnace (John 15:1-8). How scary is that? Scary.

John 15:1 I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.2 Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit. 3You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you]. 4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. 6 If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. 8 When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine. AMPC

The thing is, is if we choose Jesus then Jesus wants good for us and the only way for that to happen is if we stay on the Vine. As He said if we jump off (disconnect) we’re dead. Staying on the Vine leads to eternal life, here and now and when we leave here.

The temptations are meant to get us off of the Vine just as in the days of Adam. If we obey the flesh (satan) we are unrighteous. Even though we have been made righteous by Jesus, if we resist Jesus we are unrighteous.

Being born again is our freedom not to sin, all we have to do is stay with Jesus by not disconnecting from Him. By feeding your spirit every day you will be strong enough, Jesus in you —to resist the pulls the enemy tempts you with.

Then you will be able to resist the enemy and then he will flee (James 4:7). Submit to God—(feed your spirit man) —resisting the enemy and then he will run from you!

In summation—Just surrender to the Spirit (give into His convictions) and you reap life, life here and everlasting life! You will gain, not lose!

For further study on the wiles of the enemy I suggest reading Mark 4.

Fasting With Intention—Not For Attention

Jesus said when you fast not to act like you are fasting.  If you act like your fasting the attention you wanted is the reward you get.  As you acted all gloomy and depressed because you are going without food —you pampering yourself is your reward.  Your god, (food) the thing you are thinking about your whole fast is making your fast about a god before God. The very thing you are thinking about in your fast is food, not God.

Matthew 6:16 And whenever you are fasting, do not look gloomy and sour and dreary like the hypocrites, for they put on a dismal countenance, that their fasting may be apparent to and seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full already.17 But when you fast, perfume your head and wash your face, 18 So that your fasting may not be noticed by men but by your Father, Who sees in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.  AMPC

On the other hand if you fast with purpose and in faith of receiving from God; that is fasting with intention. Fasting is a time we choose to be alone with Jesus.  A time of an intention in seeking God for direction, healing, or some other manifestation of His promises.

Jesus is giving us the wisdom we need to clear up our indecisiveness in fasting.  In our lack of understanding of why we fast —we are hypocrites. Fasting with no intention and getting all gloomy about it makes our fellowship in the fast with food. The enemy then is who we are fellowshipping with on the fast —rather than God.

So let us understand and take heed to what Jesus is saying here. Fasting is something we do in faith and with intention to seek God.  We fast to be with God, to take time alone with Him and get into His presence. We fast to get His opinion, the answers we need in our situation—from Him.

It takes faith to fast and go to Him and that pleases Him.  Right? Have you decided to go to someone else or are you going to God? Are you seeking God or another?  You are seeking God—and in seeking Him you will find Him and that pleases Him.

Fast with intention, be bold about your faith!

RELENTLESS

So often I hear —I asked God and He said no.  First, if that is you, I want to say that God doesn't say no, but He already said Yes.

2 Corinthians 1:20 For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes [answer] in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God. AMPC

The reason we are not getting those promised promises, is our lack of understanding.  Our lack of knowing God and how to live in His Kingdom is the issue.

The resolve is to seek Him, and keep on asking.  As we seek God, He will show us how to live His way, and how His way of living will manifest those promises.

The answer comes as knowledge

Matthew 7:7 Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened. AMPC

This verse is our encouragement to keep on asking, and keep seeking.  If you are serious about God you will be relentless in asking, and as you are, you will get those things, that answer you need to receive from God.

As you seek God He will give you the answer or answers you need (the revelation knowledge) to the thing you are asking of Him. God doesn't do things expect by His principles, (His way of doing). Therefore as you seek Him, He will give you the Kingdom instruction you need to get the thing you are asking Him for.  Then it is up to you to do that instruction God gave you to do.

A Kingdom living example —In God's Kingdom as His children, created in His likeness, we are to say those things we want to happen.  To speak non-existent things into existence —just like He did. He said let there be light and light was. When we are in agreement with Him, we can say that thing we are believing God for —and it will be.

Another thing that could be something we need to know is that we have to forgive.  Faith works by love, God's law is love, and so if one would have un-forgiveness in ones heart  —God will instruct that one to forgive.

Mark 11:22 And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly. 23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. 24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. 25 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings. AMPC

Keep on seeking and you will get that revelation knowledge you need to change your circumstances—that promise fulfilled!

A New Wineskin

Jesus was asked by John's disciples why His disciples didn't fast, but they and the Pharisees did, hear His response.

Matthew 9:15 And Jesus replied to them, Can the wedding guests mourn while the bridegroom is still with them? The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast. 16 And no one puts a piece of cloth that has not been shrunk on an old garment, for such a patch tears away from the garment and a worse rent (tear) is made. 17 Neither is new wine put in old wineskins; for if it is, the skins burst and are torn in pieces, and the wine is spilled and the skins are ruined. But new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved.AMPC

Jesus was talking way beyond their understanding.  What He was saying was —they were living in their old religious way thus they couldn't see the truth right in front of them. Jesus was saying they were unwilling to see Him for who He was, thus their prideful thinking was keeping them from seeing the truth.

Even though they didn't get what He was saying, we can get it —if we are a New Wineskin. Or, we can make the same wrong decision and think on our own without Jesus..

Having a new wineskin is getting born again, born of the Spirit, and then trusting in Jesus not ourselves. Then we can easily receive the new Wine!

Many say a prayer not having the understanding that is more than a prayer, but a new way of thinking and living.  Therefore they say a prayer thinking it is the religious thing to do, and then still live in the old way. Why? Because they trust in themselves and not Jesus. They hadn't really been born from above thus they can’t see clearly.  Their heart wasn't surrendered when they said that prayer.

Thus that state is a place of being an old wineskin that can't handle the New Wine.  Just the as John's disciples and the Pharisees. There were thinking they are right with God, but really they are just being religious—because they wouldn't surrender.

Don’t just say the prayer, but be a new wineskin, get born-again ( John 3:3-6) for real, by surrendering to Jesus. Then you will long for the presence of New Wine —Jesus in your life.

If you have never asked Jesus to come live on the inside of you all you have to do is ask, surrender your life to Him, and He will surely show Himself to you (Revelation 3:20).
