Psalms 107:20 He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction.
How can a Word heal us? Because the Word of God is God (John 1:1), the Word is God’s way of thinking, His way of doing, His truth, and His opinion. When we receive that truth, when we get the revelation that God wants to heal us, from His Word— we can be healed!
That is why the enemy tries so hard to distract us from the Word because he knows if he can get our attention off of the Word of God and off of God, we won’t be able to have faith for healing or anything else.
Faith comes from hearing the Word.
Romans 10:17 So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).
Revelation knowledge (the truth), comes from hearing the Word of God so Satan’s goal is to steal that Word that we need to be healed— from us.
Mark 4:15 The ones along the path are those who have the Word sown [in their hearts], but when they hear, Satan comes at once and [by force] takes away the message which is sown in them.
He will use any kind of distraction he can to keep that Word from us, it is that important to him that we NOT hear the good of God, that he spends his days plotting to steal from us (John 10:10).
Mark 4:19 Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless.
Jesus told us this so we could have the knowledge of knowing the enemy is trying to take from us. He is the one behind taking the time you need to have the Word sown in your heart so you can have faith to move the mountains in your life. So much of the time we beg God to do something, or think God won’t do something. We think we think we have to just grin and bear it, but God sent His Word to heal us.
Therefore what we have to do is purposefully, forcefully (the Kingdom of God is taken by force Matthew 11:12), take the Word and eat it so to say— everyday, all day as much as you can get. It is not like food in that you will get fat if you eat too much, but if you eat too much Word, you will have too much faith, faith to move mountains!
Don’t let the enemy distract you with things, offence, un-forgiveness, with chaos, and futile time stealers, but get that Word, it is life to those who find it and health to your body (Proverbs 4:22).
If we take God seriously and want to get healed, and even more than that—care that it will bring God glory, then we have to resist the enemy and his tactics to take that Word from us.
Faith comes from hearing the Word — God sent His Word to heal us, so the recipe to have faith for healing, to have revelation knowledge, to know the truth and get healed — is to hear the Word.
Fight to hear the Word and get so full of faith that you actually get healed, that you actually have the Word of God working in your life, that you are actually proving God’s will is good and perfect by getting healed!
There is man of God I heard tell how his distraction from hearing the Word when he first started working to get faith was sleepiness. He kept falling asleep each time he sat down to put the Word in his heart, so he stood on the edge of that bathtub to keep from falling asleep. A bit drastic and not how I would go about it, but he had the revelation knowledge that he had to have the Word in his heart to have the faith he needed to have God’s will manifest in his life.
For me when I started out on this revelation it was always cares, thinking about things and wanting to get other things done first. Then when I gave into getting other things done first there was no time for God or I was too tired.
God states in His Word, those who seek Me early will find Me (Proverbs 8:17), so I started getting up at 3 AM to spend time with God, to get faith. I needed a lot of faith so I got serious about hearing the Word. Work started a 6AM, so for three hours I heard the Word, looked at the Word — and meditated the Word to get my faith. I listened to the Word (had the Word playing) all day and I slept with the Word on at night to get faith.
Yes I had overflowing faith so much so that no one wanted to talk to me much. If they had a problem I had no regard for their problem, only faith for the answer. When people have issues they want you to feel sorry for them and I used to do that. But since I have learned there is an answer, what is there to feel sorry about? He sent His Word to heal us that is the answer!
He is our answer so I encourage you today get the Word and get healed, hallelujah! Get God and you won’t have any problems He will be your faith! He will see you through anything that comes against you! He sent His Word to heal you; your part is to take it!
The bottom line is, if Satan can steal the Word from you, he can steal your healing from you.
