1 John 4:17 In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.
God is the most important Person in my life. I have union with Him, He corrects me so that I am living completely in Him and not off on my own where I can get off the path that He has for me that leads to the good life— with Him.
When I don’t consult God I get in trouble and so I have learned that I need Him for everything! In fact that is the worship song I listen to most every morning. “Lord I Need You“, without You I fall apart; You’re the One that guides my heart. When I forget that, when I don’t say, “Lord I need You” that is when I lose sight. That doesn’t happen too often but when it does I hate it!
Observe God realize you need Him.
I am enthralled by God and the good I know He wants to do for me. Knowing that God loves me as much as He has shown me gives me confidence in Him. Knowing that He is faithful to correct me and get me back on track even though I am the one who lost sight, gives me great confidence in His love for me. Not only do I know how much God loves me, but how much He loves—and that is what is so mesmerizing about Him.
The love that He fills my room with when I sit in His presence is soo unbelievable that I can’t comprehend what He is doing in me. I only know that I am His and He is mine and that I am changed by Him.
From our times together of fellowship where He being my confidence- gives me confidence to sit before Him today and the confidence I need stand before Him on that day. Because of Him I can kneel before Him everyday, which prepares me for that day. I know the there won’t be that much difference between that day and this day, but that I will have grown to be more like Him, more like Love only because that is His intention for me and you —and I will see Him face to face. Of course there will be many other beautiful things to see in the beauty of Him, but what I am speaking of is our relationship. It is already alive, I am His and He is mine!
He tells me the time is soon for His return. God is faithful in telling us things to come, so there is still time for you to have the same confidence I have. You can be the one who waits for Him, while some will be running from Him because they know they are not right with Him. They know they rejected Him and so on that day the Bible tells us they will run from God.
