WHATEVER ADAM CALLED IT

—Genesis 2:19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every [wild] beast and living creature of the field and every bird of the air and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name. AMPC

Did you see that last line, and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name.

God is telling us Adam was His creation, made like God, in His likeness and so now He was giving Adam the authority, the privilege to name every living creature.

—Genesis 2:21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam; and while he slept, He took one of his ribs or a part of his side and closed up the [place with] flesh. 22 And the rib or part of his side which the Lord God had taken from the man He built up and made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. 23 Then Adam said, This [creature] is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of a man.  AMPC

Not only did Adam name every living creature, he named women.

What is God telling us?  The same as with our children, we name them and give them authority over our stuff.  We have all power and authority, what we say is what will happen in our lives.

If Adam is called to name things, as God's child, then we have that same privilege.  We can call things, name them and they will take place as called.

—Genesis 2:27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth. AMPC

Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it!lovelee<3

Things Are Not As They Seem

Things are only the way they are until we change them, that is a Kingdom principle I want to share with you today.

I had an extending circumstance yesterday that was getting me down, but Jesus encouraged me with this statement, things are not as they seem. They are subject to change.  He was reminding me to change my circumstances. How? By believing God and then calling those things —I believe into existence.

—Romans 4:17 As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. [He was appointed our father] in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed.

The first time God spoke to me about this verse is when I had my first miracle.  He told me that my son's condition was temporary - and that I could change what was —into what I wanted with my faith.  At the time his urine was backing up into his kidneys and so I had to give him medication so he couldn't urinate at all. Then I had to do intermediate catheterization.

I decided to believe and had my miracle.

—2 Corinthians 4 :18 Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting. AMPC

God assured me that I could do what He did by believing and speaking as He believed and spoke.

God got out in the dark and called those things He wanted to happen.  It seemed dark, but when His faith called light, light was.

You may be in a dark situation in your life right now, but you can call light into your situation with your faith..  Just like I did that day you can change what is into what you want it to be.

If you believe with heart and speak with your mouth you will be saved (Romans 10:9).  That means the same as having a miracle in your body, as well as does it mean salvation.  What you believe in your heart when spoken out of your mouth will change your circumstance.

Well, you may be thinking He is God and only God can change things.  You are His and because you are His now you can change things.

SEVENTY TIMES SEVEN

I was asking God if I could have another chance.  I hadn't been faithful and was feeling pretty low when I asked Him this question.  Can I have another chance? Do you know what He said to me? He said, “Seventy times seven”.  The exact same thing He told Peter.

—Matthew 18:21 Then Peter came up to Him and said, Lord, how many times may my brother sin against me and I forgive him and  let it go? [As many as] up to seven times? 22 Jesus answered him, I tell you, not up to seven times, but seventy times seven! AMPC

That proves — it is true He Is His Word (John 1:1), and He is faithful to His Word.

—2 Timothy 2:13 If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself. AMPC

God doesn't expect us to do anything different than He does.

He is faithful to Himself, His Word.  He is—and He lives what He tells us to live.  He is a faithful God!

OFFENDED AT GOD

Sometimes we are offended at God and don't even realize it.  Being offended at God is something that happens when we start looking at what is— meditating the enemies lies.

When we are meditating on the devils lies we are leaving our faith and entering into offense.

Meditating the devil's lies leaves us offended at God —offended at God is blaming God.

Recognizing that we are listening to the enemy is a revelation we have to have.  Whenever you feel out of sorts, or crabby — it is due to what you are thinking.

The enemy's power is in our thinking (2 Corinthians 10:3-4).

When we find ourselves in this state we should immediately examine ourselves —by quickly discerning our thoughts (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Are youI thinking about —poor me and what is? Are you thinking God should have done something by now?

If that is you today, you have been enticed by the enemy to feel sorry for yourself and to be offended at God.  His motive is to steal God from you by getting you off the path just like Jesus warned us in Mark 4:15. Jesus said as soon as you hear the Word Satan would come and try to steal the Word (God from you).

The power the enemy has over us is in our thinking which is why we have to be on top of getting our faith —by keeping our mind on God and who God is.  We do that by hearing the Word of God so we can stay in faith, so we can think the truth and not the lie. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

Just like Jesus said —the enemy is trying to steal God from us, so what better way than to get us offended at God by telling lies about God (Mark 4:17).

What you should do if you are here—quickly change your thoughts.

2 Corinthians 10:5  [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), AMPC

Then take the time to apologize to God.  I hear many say God can handle it, He gets it.  Yes He can but does that make it right that we should blame Him for our mistakes?  Our mistakes, due to our lack of persistence in knowing Him, and growing up in Him?

When your kids are little yes you let them get away with some things because they don't know any better, but as they grow up we expect more from them.

We are always trying to make ourselves feel better, but should we be?  Maybe if we stayed uncomfortable with ourselves and grew up and took responsibility for our actions, we could be faithful to God.

How uncomfortable do you think it has been for God?  Have you wondered how He felt when you falsely accused Him? Do you know that He is Person with feelings? Do you think history keeps repeating itself?  Can we love God, as He loves us? Can we stop falsely accusing Him? We can by believing Him no matter how it looks or how it feels and just get to know Him better.

HOW TO HEAR GOD

Did you know that the easiest way to discern the voice of God is by comparing the Word to His voice.  Why? Because He is His Word.

John 1:1 In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. AMPC

Whenever you have a directive from the Lord it will match up to what He already said in His Word.  Many misunderstand God and are not sure of what He is doing in their lives because they don't look at the Word.

If we look at His Word, we can know exactly what He is thinking and then line our thoughts up with His thoughts.  When we know what He is thinking then we can discern the thoughts we are having by comparing them to the Word.

Corinthians clearly tells us to discern our thoughts and then purposefully line up our thoughts with the Jesus' thoughts.  We are to change our thoughts, and make them agree with God's thoughts—His opinion should be our opinion..

2 Corinthians 5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), AMPC

When we will follow this instruction we will be on the same page as God, and being on the same page with Him is faith.

Jesus said my sheep know my voice (John 10:27). What did He mean by that?  His sheep take the time to know Him and so they then can discern His voice.

If we don't take the time to know Him, then how can we discern His voice? Many tell me they don't like to read, if you are one of those people, I would advise you to change your thinking. Decide you like to read —because if you don't like to read, then how will you read His voice—how will you know Him?   10:11 The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed. AMPC

DON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

Romans 10:11 The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed. AMPC

Did you know that disappointment is unbelief and when you become disappointed you stop God from being able to move in your life?

It is true how can you say you believe when you have a dismal continence, an attitude of poor me?  That is not faith and without faith God can't move on your behalf. He only moves in faith, your trust in Him.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]. AMPC

Do you know what else is not faith?  Not seeking. If you are not continually seeking God for answers you have a lack of faith and that lack of faith is what is going to bring on disappointment.

On the other hand if you are always seeking to find that precious pearl, that answer you need to have His power in your life—you will live in joy.  You will be continually excited about that answer that you know God will give you. Knowing that the answer God gives you will bring you to that place you are wanting to be, and it  will make you happy, excited and give you a zing for life!

Now it would be different if when we would seek we wouldn't find, then yes we could blame God and become depressed, but that is not the case.  God is not a liar and He can be found if you are looking for Him, in fact He is looking for you to be looking for Him.

Chronicles tells us He is looking to and fro throughout the earth —looking for someone He can show Himself strong to.

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are blameless toward Him. AMPC

He is looking for you to be looking to Him, so He can show Himself to you, so you can see Him and look to Him for your answers.

Matthew 7:7 Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, if his son asks him for a loaf of bread, will hand him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he hand him a serpent? 11 If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give good and advantageous things to those who keep on asking Him! AMPC

Therefore as we seek Him and get His wisdom, His answers, we will come to know Him — and knowing Him will make us happy and excited!  Because when we seek Him we will find Him and know those answers that we need to live in His blessing—that is exciting! His way is not a magical spell —but a lifestyle.  A lifestyle of living His way is one we need to learn —then as we live there in that lifestyle we live in His blessings.

THE FASTED LIFE

A  time ago God told me to live a fasted life.  He was talking about my eating at the time. Daniel ate only healthy foods, nothing rich —and it kept Him strong and healthy.  He did this fast for three weeks, but God asked me to do it all the time. He asked me to live a fasted life. That kind of lifestyle solved all my bad eating habits and more.  Plus eating healthy —and of course, that took care of my health! This year I turn sixty-one and I have no health problems —or do I take any medications. God is truly good!

Now God has shown me that the walk on the narrow path is likened to that fasted life.  It is a fasted life as in coming out from the world's way. Just like eating their way is not good, neither is living their way good.

On the narrow path is blessings and not cursing —health and not sickness. Provision and not poverty—wisdom and not ignorance—the list is unending.

The narrow path is God leading us to live here and now in the Kingdom of God —and preparing us to live with Him when we leave here.

On the narrow path is blessings beyond, a more than you can ask or think life.  At first it may seem far from blessing, but that is only a season you will walk through as you refuse to quit and give up.  A time where you tell the enemy no!

Jesus told us the enemy has come to kill, steal and destroy and he does that as he harasses.  He works in our thinking (Corinthians 10:3-5) trying to get us to think the worst so the worst will happen.

When we walk that fasted life on that path, we fast his thinking  by taking captive our thoughts. We toss his thoughts, refuse them and —the bad food he is trying to force on us.

He is the pressure—he comes on hard and tries to force his junk on us, so we will live the less than —lifestyle God has planned for us. He is a force and he is trying to get you and I to get on the wide path — but don't let him take that fasted life from you.

Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize—a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion]. AMPC

Don't Even Taste Evil

Did you ever wonder why God didn't want Adam and Eve to know the difference between good and evil?

Think about it, when you have kids don't you protect them from evil? You don't want their eyes to even meet certain things and so you keep the innocent all long as possible.  Until they grow up and start making their own decisions you influence them the best you can.

So what makes God any different? He loved Adam and Eve and was protecting them from evil when He gave them direction.  Before they ate off of the tree they only knew God, they only knew good and had no desire to drift off away from God until they were influenced by the enemy to do so.

Once they ate from the tree they started feeling shame immediately.  And in fact hid from God. If your kids do something behind your back, they are ashamed because they know they did wrong and the same as Adam and Eve they hide what they did from you.  Not feeling special and cared for anymore they hide their sin from you, and keeping even other things from you. The start of a separated relationship begins with sin.

That is where Satan was planning to take Adam and Eve, on a division trip.  He wanted Adam and Eve to betray God. Having a taste of disobedience shamed them, and now they wanted to get away from the shame and so they hid from God.

We do the same thing today, we want to obey God and we have  a choice as they did, to obey Him or not. Once we step away from what God said and get a taste of sin, it has a hold on us, and pulls on us to keep from going back to God.

If you have ever tasted cake and then tried not to eat it again, it would be pretty hard.  Is God trying to take cake from you? Maybe so because most cakes have some nasty ingredients that if you eat  enough of it—you could die.

When my son was little I wanted him to be healthy and so I didn't introduce junk food to him.  He was at church of all places and they were handing out Hostess cupcakes —he had no idea what a Hostess cupcake was until that day.  He never tasted a Hostess cupcake until that day —and it happened without my permission. I would have rather he never had one. After he had one, he questioned me and wanted to know why?  Of course he did not know the bad it would cause and so he had no guilt, until I told him. Then of course he wanted to please me, but still had that desire now, that he never had before.

The same thing happened with his healing.  He was born with a birth defect, Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.  I told him he was healed, I taught him the Word, but then as he went out into the world he was taught by another man's idea he might not be healed.

It was so much harder to guide him in the truth after he heard the lie.   As it turned out the road for his healing has been taking longer than it would have if he wouldn't have eaten off the tree, of good and evil.

If I were to do it over I may have kept him home and never let him out there.  But —if I did that then he might have lost his healing anyway.

Now he has had the opportunity to see both good and evil, as we do and choose his healing rather than suffer from the bad that is out there.  Now he has chosen/is learning not to eat off the tree, not to feed on the lies of the enemy —but only eat the good fruit.

Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight or to be desired—good (suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of life also in the center of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of [the difference between] good and evil and blessing and calamity.  AMPC

His Real Self Eternal Life

This is Jesus praying to His Father—

John 17:3 And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent. AMPC

God wants to be known for —His real self.  He doesn't want to be speculated, or debated about, but He wants to be known for who He is—who He really is.

How will that happen?  You & I will have to spend time to know Him.

Jesus showed us who He is and as He lives in us and reveals Himself to us we can know Him.  As we know Him then we can show Him. Then we can, as we show Him by living by His will, be a living example of who He is — even without words, without debating or judging.

This is eternal life Jesus said—

John 17:3 And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent. AMPC

Think about that, if you are one who doesn't have time for Him and you think you want to move in with Him someday, then you need to think again.  Think about where you want to spend eternal life and with that will come —you prioritizing your time.

Suggested reading Matthew 7, John 17.

PEACE BE STILL

Jesus had no fear of anything, He spoke to every situation, every demon, the wind and the rain—because He knew who He was.

Then when He left He said to the disciples now you do it, you take up where I left off.

John 14:12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. AMPC

Before Jesus left He was teaching the disciples this very principle, even in a storm .

Mark 4:37And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled. 38 But He [Himself] was in the stern [of the boat], asleep on the [leather] cushion; and they awoke Him and said to Him, Master, do You not care that we are perishing? 39 And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm (a perfect peacefulness). 40 He said to them, Why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith (no firmly relying trust)? 41 And they were filled with great awe and feared exceedingly and said one to another, Who then is this, that even wind and sea obey Him? AMPC

Jesus said why are you so fearful, how is it that you have no faith?  All they had witnessed and still they were afraid. God is saying that to us today, all you have witnessed and still you are afraid! Still you are afraid even though I have given you My power to overcome!

And, yes I do care —and you are not perishing, you are learning who you are in Me.  Now stop being so fearful and speak to that storm! If you don't think you can speak to the storm and get it to stop, then spend more time getting to know Me. I am your Creator. I made you in My likeness, filled you with My power to accomplish for Me—to do My work!

John 14:12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. 13 And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as representing all that I Am], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son. 14 [Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you shall ask in My Name [as presenting all that I Am]. AMPC

It Is Not Too Hard

Jesus is always there for us, it is not too hard.  Whatever the enemy is saying to you —to try to make life seem too hard, whatever you are going through —his motive is to try and get you to give up. His most famous line (lie) is that it is too hard.

If your life right now feels too hard, go to Jesus, His way is easy.  He will make life easy for you as you seek Him.

Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne. AMPC

Jesus said His way is not harsh, hard or sharp, but comfortable, His burden is light and easy to be borne.  Do you know why? Because He is in you and He does in and through you what you can't do without Him. You weren't meant to live without Him, He is your source.

When you trust Him, He takes all the responsibility for your happiness.  As you cast your care on Him, you can live carefree—you can be happy because you have trusted Jesus to care for you.

Therefore whatever the pressure the enemy is trying to put on you —run to Jesus, He will save you from that which seems too hard —and He will give you rest. Jesus is kind and gentle, His way is easy to live.

Your part is not to worry and stress of life but as Jesus said —learn of Him. Take the time to learn of Him, come to know who He is —and live with Him in you by living in agreement with Him.

How?  Jesus is the Word (John 1:1), know the Word and you will know Him.  As you agree with Him —you will hear His voice and you will follow Him to eternal life (John 10:27).

If you haven't asked Him to live in your heart and be the Lord of your life, all you have to do is ask.  Then He will come and live on the inside of you and teach you of His ways, and His love for you.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears andlistens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me. AMPC <3

Yesterday

NOTHINGS CHANGED, JESUS IS THE SAME YESTERDAY AND TODAY, AND WILL BE TOMORROW.

If we know the Word, the Word (who is God—John1:1) we know the most stable Person ever!  Jesus is the same, nothing will change about Him, God's love is the same, that will never change.  God is the same He will always be who He said He would be.

Unlike many —we know Jesus is the same all the time.  He doesn't get moody and slam the door, or take an hour or two —to forgive you for what you said to Him.  He is always the same and forgives you before you ever sinned against Him.

What a faithful friend we have in Him, rejoice that He is your forever friend who will never leave you or forsake you, He will never let you down (Romans 10:11).  He is always there for you day or night to talk to to confide in, to cry with, anything! Just call on Him and he will be there for you (Revelation 3:20).

HEBREWS 13:8 Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is [always] the same, yesterday, today, [yes] and forever (to the ages). AMPC

Today

Today if you hear His voice do not harden your hearts.

When I hear this it makes me think of dishonor.  God is good enough to talk to us and make Himself known to us, yet we dishonor Him by not seeking Him or even believing what He said.  We turn our heads as He said in Isaiah 53, when God gave us Jesus. We all go astray our own way instead of seeking to understand Him and do His will.

Today I would like to suggest to you to seek Him to know Him.  Don't offend Him as the Israelites did, but honor Him by taking the time to know Him —and then do what He tells you to do. When you do what He tells you to do that is faith and faith pleases Him. Faith pleases Him because faith is saying I believe You, and I trust You!

Hebrews 3:7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today, if you will hear His voice, 8 Do not harden your hearts, as [happened] in the rebellion [of Israel] and their provocation and embitterment [of Me] in the day of testing in the wilderness, 9 Where your fathers tried [My patience] and tested [My forbearance] and found I stood their test, and they saw My works for forty years. LOTS OF SPACE

God has given us lots of time to prepare for His return.  While many think that they are waiting on God to return —He is actually waiting on us to prepare the way for Him.

You may be thinking hey wait a minute, God is in control and He can do whatever He wants to do, He doesn't need us to make the way for Him, He can and will come when He wants to come.

Yes He is in control and yes He can do whatever He wants to do.  That is why He gets the say so, He is God. Therefore what He said goes.  And what He said was He wanted us to go for Him because He was going to the Father..

What He said is Him —being in control.  He is God and He is in charge of us, and when He left — He said the next step was for us to do His work for Him.

So right —He calls the shots and He is in control.  Thus, we better get going and do what He said instead of asking Him to do it!  Instead of asking Him to do revival without us, we better get ready to be that vessel for Him to do revival through (2 Timothy 2:21).

John 14:12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. 13 And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I Am], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son. 14 [Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you shall ask in My Name [as presenting all that I Am].15 If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands. Destitute Of Power

Faith without action is dead.  Faith in action of what you say you believe has more depth in it than one might have thought.  Yes is it one thing to have faith action and it is part of receiving from God, but it is another thing to believe in your actions—not just follow an instruction.

James 2:17 So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead). AMPC

Let me explain.  Faith without action is dead, if you just practice faith without godliness without any intention of living and abiding in the Kingdom of God your faith is —destitute of power and really then you are a fake Christian.

What God is saying to us today is that if you just go through the motions of what you think being a Christian is.  Like, sit on the church bench because you think you are supposed to, if you are like the Pharisees were, just religious—you will not have God's power in your life.

The power we need to have faith  that works, faith that accomplishes is in our decision to conform to Jesus.  It won't work to follow someone's seven step formula without a relationship with Jesus.  It is not a formula; it is a decision to live in the Kingdom of God and press to fall in love with God.  Then, with the Holy Spirit as our teacher, our helper, our stand by, our counselor— He helps us in our walk and teaches us to conform to God's way of living.

We read in James 2:17 that our faith is dead and destitute of power without works of obedience to back up our faith.

I would like to focus on the word destitute, defined — without the basic necessities of life.  Destitute means without. Impoverished, needed, without, and ruined.

Faith without commitment is destitute of power, if you are not committed to Jesus, you won't practice His way of doing and you will live in need.  Faith without the action of commitment —is empty, dead and meaningless.

That is why many are asking, in fact begging God to do something because they have no action to their faith.  Kind of like not committing to the person you say you love —by getting married.

Plain and simple if you don't conform to Jesus and His Kingdom principles —if you won't marry Jesus —then your faith that you say you have is dead and it won't work—because you are not married to Jesus.

Not practicing His way of doing —your faith is lacking in commitment, and you will have absolutely no power in your faith it back up what you say.   Living without Him, not committed to Him, is really being a fake follower.

But you can fix that today by committing to Him. Do life God's way by applying His Word to your life—get married and be faithful to Him —then you will have faith that works!  Then you will have confidence in the One you know and are committed to. Jesus said if you love Me you will obey Me —and I will show Myself to you (John 14:21).

—Love Yourself

You know we most often talk about putting ourselves aside and loving others first, but today God wants to talk to us about loving ourselves.

Some of us are so beat up, torn down and afflicted with emotional pain that they can hardly function let alone love others.  I have seen this in countless victims of the enemy—myself included.

Acts 10:38 How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him. AMPC

If you are putting yourself down in any way, you are being harassed by the enemy and it is time to put an end to it.  How? Receive your healing.

Jesus went about doing good and in particular curing all who were harassed and oppressed by the power of the devil.  Do you know how he cured all who were harassed by the devil? Did you think He laid hands on them? Do you think He commanded  the devil to come out of them?

Personally I don't think that He did.  I think He taught them who they were in Him (in Christ) and I believe from there He taught them —just like He did His disciples.  He taught them the enemies power, his ploys and how to take authority over the enemy.

Paul taught us what he learned from Jesus. He said our warfare is not with people.  But our warfare is with the enemy—in our mind.

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, 5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), 6 Being in readiness to punish every [insubordinate for his] disobedience, when your own submission and obedience [as a church] are fully secured and complete. AMPC

What can we learn from what Paul said?  We are being harassed by the enemy. —And the cure, is to think Jesus thoughts not the enemies  thoughts —resist the thoughts from the enemy and he will flee ( James 4:7).

Peter warned us —He said be alert, the enemy is prowling about looking for someone he can devour.

1 Peter 5:8 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. 8 Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. 9 Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.  AMPC

If you are putting yourself down, then you are being controlled by the power of the enemy.  Which means you are listening to his thoughts, you are letting him talk to you and convince you of his thoughts.

Well, you might say I don't believe there is a devil, let alone that it is him talking to me.  If that is you then I would like to challenge you to ask yourself a question.

Would you talk to yourself that way?  Would you tell yourself you hate yourself, or you want to kill yourself?   Would you say those things to your children? No you wouldn't, of course you wouldn't.  But what is happening is you are hearing the enemies thoughts in your head. They might be old tapes of things said to you, or even some fresh put me downs, but what you are hearing is indeed the enemy.

He may be using what someone said to you, someone who had abused you in the past to keep that tape playing— to keep that picture in your mind.

You need to know that those voices originate from the enemy.  And you should know your parents or whoever they were —that said those things to you that hurt you and put you down were not intended for you by that person.  As Paul said it is not the person you are in warfare with—but the enemy.

Some people talk about generational curses and that is why bad  things happen in their family. Actually it is just the fact that as God said we are destroyed for a lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). Your family didn't know the instruction from the Word or they would have resisted the enemy.  They would have taken captive their thoughts. If your parents abused you, they had a lack of relationship with Jesus and with that a lack of knowledge. If one doesn't read the Book He allows the enemy to overtake, harass, and oppress through them.

But now that you know, you can stop the enemy by taking the time to listen to Jesus.  Instead of letting your mind run wild, instead of letting it think what it wants, think on these things…..

Philippians  4:8  For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]. AMPC

If you let Jesus control your thinking —then you can be loved by Him, you can know Him and that He loves you.  As you experience His love you can love you, and then go ahead and see how well you can love others.

ARE YOU GIVING WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN?

God wants us to know that what we have has been given to us —is for us to give to someone else's need.

James 2: 16 And one of you says to him, Good-bye! Keep [yourself] warm and well fed, without giving him the necessities for the body, what good does that do? 17 So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead).18 But someone will say [to you then], You [say you] have faith, and I have [good] works. Now you show me your [alleged] faith apart from any [good] works [if you can], and I by [good] works [of obedience] will show you my faith. AMPC

Being so conformed to this world we don't think about our gift as needful for someone else. We don't act like our gift makes room for us as we give it away—but that is exactly how the Kingdom of God operates (Proverbs 18:16) .  Give and it will be given to you (Luke 6:38). Jesus said seek God's way of doing and what you need will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).

Ephesians tells us to work with our hands to give to those in need of our gift.<3

ARE YOU SERIOUS ABOUT JESUS?

Are you serious about living in the Kingdom of God? if so you will have to get serious about the Word.  If you want to live with Jesus then you will have to attend the Word. If you really want Jesus in your life you will pay attention to Him (the Word is Him).  You won't go hours without talking to Him, or even more than 15 minutes. If you depend on Him and you are in love with Him you will want to be with Him all the time.

How do you fall so in love with Him so that you want Him all the time?  Just like you fall in love with anything else or anybody else. For instance if you feed your body food (or anything else), your body will want more.  But if you starve your body of food (or anything else) it won't want it anymore. But you will die if you don't eat.

If you starve yourself of Jesus you won't want Jesus, and you will not have eternal life, you will die.  But if you give yourself Jesus you will want Him. You won't be able to get enough of Him and he will give you life to the full until it overflows, now and forever!

Proverbs 4:20 My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. 22 For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life. BELIEVE -SAY

Jesus said say, ask, and believe—yet many ask and even say but don't believe what they said would happen.

Mark 11:23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. 24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. AMPC

This is such a vital truth that God sent my son on a five hour road trip just to hear just a few words from someone's mouth besides mine.  My son refused to say he was healed. I taught him everything I knew, but still i couldn't get him to say he was healed. I tried everything and was exhausted.  Finally God sent us on a five hour drive just to so he could hear someone else say you have to say it! You have to open your mouth and say what you want to come to pass to change your circumstances.   And then —believe what you say will happen!

Give Us This Day

When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, one thing He said was; Give us this day the bread we need.

Matthew 6:11 Give us this day the bread we need. JBPT

I believe Jesus is giving us the answer to our most worried thoughts. In fact the subliminal reason we worry—is the underlying ploy the enemy uses to keep us from doing the will of God. His ploy is to get us thinking our lives are primarily about providing for ourselves, but of course the opposed true.  We are to live in heaven on the earth (Matthew 6:10), doing as Jesus did. In doing so our needs would be met as we asked our Father to give us the bread we need.

Matthew 6:31 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear? 32 For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

If we sought His way of doing we would not be working to make a living, but working to do His will.  And asking for our bread.

His will be done on the earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).
